FAITO Malaysia website (2026)

When I joined FAITO Malaysia as Head of Digital Marketing, I was one of the first people setting up the new Kuala Lumpur office, and the website was still just an idea. FAITO is part of FRD Performance Motorsport and has spent years building motorcycle parts riders trust: engine components, clutch, braking, bearings, drive systems, lighting, lubricants, and an official Brembo partnership. The brand was well known in workshops and on Shopee and Lazada, but it didn’t have a proper digital home that told its story.

The brief changed early on. Leadership decided to shift FAITO’s focus to 80% Lifestyle and 20% Performance, so the site had to serve two very different riders at once. One is the rider tuning for speed and handling. The other is the everyday scooter rider who cares about style, reliability and riding safer. Instead of picking one, I made that split the core idea of the whole site.

The homepage opens on a full-screen Performance / Lifestyle split.

The homepage opens on a full-height, full-width split: Performance on one side, Lifestyle on the other, divided by a shape traced from the vector geometry of the FAITO “F” logo. From the first second, visitors pick their world. Performance uses FAITO Blue (#2957A4) and Lifestyle uses a warm Amber (#C98A3E), and that colour system runs through every page so riders always know which side they’re on. A gauge motif inspired by motorcycle instrument clusters became the preloader, and I added a dark/light mode toggle across the whole build.

Before any code, I wrote the groundwork: a Corporate Identity Guide covering tagline, positioning, palette, Helvetica Neue typography, logo usage and tone of voice, plus moodboards for both directions. I also studied premium automotive sites like Aston Martin to work out how a parts brand could feel aspirational instead of transactional. That led to a “solution marketing” approach where we sell outcomes like better braking and riding safer, not part numbers, with products grouped by rider intent: Power, Handling, Safety, Reliability and Lifestyle.

I prototyped four key templates (Home, Performance, Lifestyle and Product Detail) as one consistent system, then built the site myself on WordPress with a custom theme, using Claude as my development partner instead of handing it to an agency. The CMS is set up so a non-technical admin can manage categories, products and dealer listings. The first live category, Bearing System, launched on staging with 19 product pages, alongside Our Story and a Dealers page linking riders to FAITO’s dealer network.

For me this project brings everything together: brand strategy, UX, visual design and hands-on build, done in-house on a startup timeline. More categories are coming as product data is finalised, and I’ll update this post when the full site launches.
